Charity Rowell "I predict [Axtelera Ray] will be a rising star in the fantasy genre."

“Just finished reviewing a preview of a book that I predict will be a rising star in the fantasy genre. The setting of the story is lush and detailed. It enhances the plot by setting the tone for what's happening in the storyline. If you're a gamer, it's a lot like finding pieces of well-written lore that tell you more about the locations you encounter. For non-gamers, I guess the best way to describe the setting is "irresistibly immersive."

Book Nerd "A story line so amazingly unique, this is not a book you’re going to want to miss.”

“I discovered this preview completely by accident and was immediately intrigued by it. With a writing style reminiscent of series like Percy Jackson or Heroes of Olympus and a story line so amazingly unique this is not a book you’re going to want to miss.”

Sarah Foil "Octavia is beautifully written and imaginative."

“It's obvious that [the creators are] dedicated to the world they've created in this book. Octavia is beautifully written and imaginative. As Demitra is dropped into the world and encounters the diverse characters who inhabit it, it's all vivid and vibrant. This alone is an impressive feat, but what's also impressive is the authors' ability to even make our mundane world take on new life through their writing. Although the characters are only on Earth for a short time in the book, Jovi and Gallagher are not lazy in their descriptions. The lives and the world our characters live in before being thrust into their new life is just as exciting and interesting as Octavia.”

Stefan Vucak "Wonderfully written with flowing narrative and live dialogue, I was disappointed when I came to the end, wanting more.”

“In the four chapters of ‘Axtelera Ray’ M.J. Gallagher teases the reader with a compelling tale of a magical crystal, a girl who finds herself transported to a strange land, and Norse warriors searching for a wondrous prize. Wonderfully written with flowing narrative and live dialogue, I was disappointed when I came to the end, wanting more.”

Jonathon Myhre "The way the author pulls you into story is exciting to say the least."

“Have you been on the edge of looking for a new book? Trying to find something that just catches you at the heels and drags you away from reality? Well look no further. This is the one to read. Axtelera Ray: The Chronicles of Astrone is a sure fire book to read. Or at least the preview is amazing. I've been on the front lines of this book and I have to say I'm always on the tips of my toes waiting to read the next page. The way the author pulls you into story is exciting to say the least. But please don't take my words for it, jump in and try it out. The only thing you'll have to worry about is that this is only a preview. I'll be the first in line to get the book when it's completed.”

Tabitha Potter “What I like most about Axtelera Ray is the mishmashing of mythos."

“What I like most about Axtelera Ray is the mishmashing of mythos. It really intrigues me on how the author weaves the legends together with that of the characters. Being thrust into a new world with someone you don't know and a war you have no idea about is a tried and true story, but in AXR it's done extremely well. I feel invested in what will happen next, and eagerly await when the next chapter or passage is released. It's definitely a book I'll be following for the future!”

Madam Bookworm "This is definitely a 'one to watch'!”

“While sci fi / fantasy is not generally my genre of choice, I was pleasantly surprised by the preview of Axtelera Ray. This is a fantasy sage with a difference and one that I am intrigued to read into further (have I been converted :)!). There is an easy writing style here which makes the novel very accessible and draws you into the story. I found Demitra very 'real' and relatable despite the fantasy element - I think this is one of the reasons that this novel appealed to me in contrast to other fantasy novels I have read in the past. This is definitely a 'one to watch'!”

“Meet the next world-wide phenomenon. This preview is sure to dazzle, delight, intrigue and leave you yearning for more. Get a taste of upcoming glory as you are transported to a place where mythological beings exist and meld with our world. On your brief journey, meet captivating characters and be drawn under their spell as the story unfolds. The scenery is detailed enough so that I feel a part of it myself, without being overburdened. I can tell this is the beginning of something profoundly intense and outstanding and I simply cannot wait for more! You are not going to want to miss this!”

Tim Smith "It's looking like I've got one more series to keep a close eye on."

“I'm something of a stickler for fantasy novels, and it's looking like I've got one more series to keep a close eye on. Brief though this preview of the upcoming first installment of the Axtelera Ray series may be, the promise is most assuredly there and then some. I've been an adamant fan of the author's previous works for some time now, and have never been let down yet. Needless to say, judging by these opening chapters, it seems The Chronicles of Astrone will be no exception. Having been captivated by the mythologies of ancient cultures ever since my childhood, the incorporation of these renowned tales into a cumulative story straddling the realms of fantasy and reality definitely strikes a chord with me. It would also appear that Gallagher has been working on refining his prose, and I can honestly say that the writing style displayed is probably the most well rounded of his efforts to date, so props to that. True enough, if you're anything like me you'll probably reach the end of the preview feeling a bit cheated at it cutting off so abruptly. On the other hand though, if a book can get you into the frame of mind of wanting to read more right away, then I guess it's doing something right. In any case, my curiosity has been appropriately piqued, and I can say for certain I'll be picking the final product up once it's out. In the meantime, take a quick look for yourself and leave some feedback if you like it. This might just be the start of something big.”

Will Conway “As an avid reader of fantasy novels for years this preview stands up to some of my favourites, including the greats.".

“As an avid reader of fantasy novels for years this preview stands up to some of my favourites including the greats. The best fantasy books create a relatable character/setting and then swallow you whole into a new and intriguing setting. This preview edition does that in 4 chapters and leaves you tapping your toe for the full release. I'm looking forward to the full book coming out and I would recommend this to anyone who's ever dabbled in the shadowy cabal of fantasy discussion.”

Robin Berg " I thought I'd give Axtelera Ray: the Chronicles of Astrone a shot, and boy was i not disappointed."

“Since I read the authors novelisations of the much loved Final Fantasy VII game (I really enjoyed them) I thought I'd give Axtelera Ray: the Chronicles of Astrone a shot, and boy was i not disappointed. The story is interesting, rich with lore from my favorite mythology: Norse, characters are well written, environements described in very good detail (especially in the later parts of the preview copy) The main characters, Victor and Demitra are described in such a good way you can almost experience all their emotions as if you were in the world of Octavia itself. The story has a steady flow and will keep you interested throughout the entire novel. The way that the author uses several characters view of the story (and even tells us about things happening outside the main characters point of view) makes it look like it's ready for movie and/or series adaptation, which is a huge plus in my opinion."

Tara Delaney "The melding of the modern world with the world of Norse mythology is an intriguing idea ripe with possibilities."

“Axtelera Ray is a promising new fantasy novel that shows a lot of potential. The melding of the modern world with the world of Norse mythology is an intriguing idea ripe with possibilities. The two main characters, Demi and Victor, are as different as can be, which brings a lot of friction once the two meet each other. After reading the first half of the book, I'm curious to find out where it will all go. Small caveat to people new to or unfamiliar with fantasy: this book very much falls under standard fantasy tropes that can leave the unfamiliar a little lost. But the addition of a glossary of terms and a map of the world later on will help with that a lot. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes fantasy, Norse mythology, or "chosen one" stories."
